Since taking ownership at the end of 2025, the Knox family has transformed Vacy General Store into far more than a country café creating a space built on community, creativity, and genuine country hospitality. In just six months, Vacy General Store has become a destination known for its welcoming atmosphere, quality coffee, homemade creations, and the viral vanilla slice.
What makes this place special is not just the food, but the experience, connection, and energy people feel the moment they walk through the door. Built by the community and fuelled by the community, this is only the beginning of the Vacy General Store story.

This is tops little place. Worth a scenic drive to.I went with my client as I'm a disability support worker and take my clients to various cafe for community access.The food was great! Finally a place that new how to do a proper smashed Av! (With poached egg) 👍🏻 The iced chai came in a funky little bottle and the service was very friendly. The old store is so cute with original wooden floor boards and the cafe showcased scrummy cakes and slices! Definitely will be back with my family!

Vacy General Store and Cafe is well worth a visit whether you are passing through to elsewhere or want somewhere to go that is not like everywhere else, the new owners and their staff do a fantastic job of looking after their customers requirements, the menu is expansive and yet not expensive for the types of meals offered, the coffee is very good, the food is good, the staff are great, if you try the Vacy General Store and Cafe you will not be disappointed and you will go back :)
